MARS Hombo is a company focusing on Japanese single malt whiskies and has over 150-year tradition as independent family biz. being established in Kagoshima in 1872. They have 75-year long history of whisky industry.
They have unique “2 Distilleries + 3 Aging Sites”, which allow them to craft & experiment utilizing different aging environments.

Owned by one of Wakayama’s leading alcoholic beverage and Umeshu producers with over 50 years of expertise, the distillery blends time-honored techniques with the pristine resources of its environment to craft exceptional spirits.
The emblem of the distillery, the revered three-legged crow, symbolizes a divine messenger bridging the realms of gods and humanity. This iconic emblem reflects the distillery’s commitment to connecting tradition, nature, and craftsmanship in every bottle.
NAGAHAMA DISTILLERY
“We make craft whiskey at this small distillery with the hope that it will be enjoyed by many people 100 years from now.”
With local businesses and citizens of Nagahama as shareholders, they began producing craft alcohol 28 years ago.
The pot stills used at Nagahama Distillery have an extremely rare shape, producing a one-of-a-kind raw liquor that cannot be tasted anywhere else. During aging, the whiskey breathes slowly in the climate of Nagahama City, Shiga Prefecture, which has a large temperature difference between hot summers and cold winters and continues to mature carefully until the day when the barrels are emptied.
KAWASHIMA SAKE BREWERY, LTD
Kawashima Brewery is located in Shiga City, near the beautiful Ado-gawa River and Lake Biwa. It uses a 600-year-old water source from the HIRA mountains for sake.
Kawashima is located in the middle of fertile «rice basket» near largest freshwater lake in Japan. The area is known for its quality of rice and fresh spring water coming from Hira mountains. Brewery is founded by Mr.Kawashima in 1865 just few years before the last age of samurai’s.
